Mesh count refers to the number of holes within a 2.54cm area. Screen products typically use units such as holes per centimeter or wires per centimeter. Countries and regions that adopt imperial units express mesh count as holes per inch or wires per inch. The mesh count account can indicate the density of wires. The higher the mesh count, the denser the wires and the smaller the mesh. Conversely, the lower the mesh count, the sparser the wires and the larger the mesh. For example, 50 mesh per inch means there are 50 wires within an inch. The smaller the mesh, the poorer the permeability. The larger the mesh, the better the permeability. The selection of wire mesh can be determined based on the required precision.

Thickness of wire mesh

The thickness of the screen refers to the distance from the surface of the screen to its bottom, usually measured in millimeters or micrometers. The thickness of the screen should be measured without tension. The thickness of the screen is determined by the wire diameter, and the permeability is related to the thickness of the screen cloth.
